5 Months

Five months, WHAT?! I don't know how it's possible that she is already five months. We always say that we wish we could just keep her at this stage (at every stage she is in) forever, but the truth is she is getting cuter by the day, if that's even possible! I was afraid I would get a wild child, which i'm sure we will, but she has been the best baby! The only thing that is hard about her is that she wont nurse so Mommy has to pump five times a day, boo!!! I complain about it all the time to Cory but honestly I'm so thankful that she is able to drink my milk.

Fun things about Tessa:

-She can sit up now

-Loves her sophie giraffe

-One of our favorite things she does is when she gives us a big smile and turns her head like she is embarassed, its so cute!

-She started eating rice cereal and she has ate sweet potatos for a few days now

-She has figured out about Bax and loves to grab him

-She rolls all over the place

-She loves to lay under our fan in our room and kick her feet and giggle

-She is still wearing 3-6 month clothes

-She sleeps great but I would love if she would sleep till eight or nine haha

-She takes about three 40 minute naps a day

-She loves her jumper and to chew on her toys while she is in there

-She loves to play peek a boo

-She thinks that everything has to go in her mouth

-She drools all the time but she still hasn't got any teeth in

-She still sleeping in her bouncer

-We don't swaddle her at nights anymore

-When she wakes up in the morning or at naps we can hear her chatting away and kicking her feet

4th of July trip to Utah

Tessa and I got to go to Utah for 10 days during the 4th of July. There is no place that celebrates the 4th like Richfield does. Cory loves to make fun of me for how much I love the 4th there but it will always be my favorite place to be on the 4th.

The second day I was there my Mom was getting ready for work and started to have a little chest pain but she thought it was all in her head. The rest of us went to my Grandma's and while we were there we got a phone call saying that something was wrong with my Mom and we need to hurry over to the ER. That was one of the scariest phone calls I have ever received because she works WAY too hard and WAY too much and I have been scared for so long that something bad was going to happen to her. I don't know what I would ever do without her. They did some tests and they found out that she had blood clots in one of her lungs.

As bad as it sounds it has turned out to be a good thing because it has made her realize that she needs to slow down and take better care of herself. I'm so glad I was there when it happened so that I could help take care of her like she taken care of me throughout my whole life.

Even though my Mom was sick and I missed my sweet husband terribly it was such a fun trip with the family. My cute little nephew Konner was baptized so I'm so thankful that I was able to be there for that. I know I always say this but I love being home with my family so much!!! Hopefully one day my cute little family will get to pack up and move out there but until then I will cherish every trip to Utah that I get.

4 months

Happy four months to our adorable baby girl! She is getting more and more fun by the day and we are so in love with her. She is changing everyday and we just want time to slow down, it still amazes us how fast she changes. Cory and I love to watch her try to figure out new things, it' s so cute to watch her learn new things. 

Fun things about Tess:

-She rolled over for the first time ten days before she was 4 months

-She sucks in her bottom lip and on her hands

-Tries to blow with her tongue 

-Wearing 3-6 month clothes

-She hasn't thrown up at night in almost three weeks, it's been so nice!!!

-She goes to bed a lot better

-Loves to stand up

-Recognizes her bottle and tries to grab it

-Loves her toys

-Loves to giggle

-Wearing size 2 diapers 

-She 2" 0.25" (25%) Weight 14 9.5 (47%) Head circumference 41.9 (71.88) I think it's safe to say she is a short chunky little girl :)

Life as a Mommy

Being a Mom is the greatest yet the most exhausting thing I've ever done in my whole life! Until you are a mom you have no idea how much work it actually takes to care for a baby. On a daily basis I probably change 15-20 diapers, she has a bit of an issue with blowouts haha and I think the loads of laundry doubled when she came along . We go through two to three outfits a day and I feed her ALL DAY everyday! There are no quick runs to the grocery store because you have to pack the baby in and I don't like to run into the gas station anymore because I can't leave her in the car. I have to plan when I'm going to clean the house so that I don't have to stop and feed her while I'm doing it. Bringing a baby into the world is a huge adjustment but it's the best thing I have ever done and I can't even begin to describe how much I love my baby girl. She has brought so much happiness and joy into our lives and despite all the diapers, laundry, crying, feeding it is all completely worth it. There isn't anything in the world I wouldn't do for that sweet girl. I'm beyond blessed to be able to be her Mom and I love her more and more everyday. Seeing her smile is probably the best thing in this world; my heart melts when she looks at me with those big blue eyes and smiles from ear to ear. There are days when its hard because Cory is gone all day and I'm not by my family but there is nothing better than being a wife and Mom. Seeing Cory with Tess has made me love and appreciate him so much more. He is the best Daddy I could ever ask for for our children. I just feel so lucky to have my little family.

Tessa's Blessing

Tessa Tae Baum was blessed by her daddy on June the 2nd. It was such a special day and I'm so grateful for my amazing husband for being able to bless her. He gave her such a wonderful blessing and she was so good during it. It was so fun to have our some of our family and friends there. My parents were able to come out and I'm beyond thankful for that. It meant the world to me that they were able to make it for her blessing.

Tessa's Birth Story Video

3 Months

I can't believe how fast our little girl is growing, time just goes by way too fast! It seems like yesterday we were walking into the hospital to have her and now she is already three months old, CRAZY!! We love her so much and we are so blessed to have her in our home.

Fun things about Tess:

-She is starting to hold on to things, especially my hair

-She is really ticklish 

-Her legs are staring to get really strong 

-Her hair on top doesn't stand up anymore 

-She has a cute little bald spot on the back of her head

-She still is throwing up at night and it makes me so sad :(

-She smiles at Daddy when he comes home from work

-She is starting to stick out her tongue. When Cory and I stick out our tongue and make noises she tries to copy us

-She has found her toes and is always grabbing them

-She sleeps for about 9:30-7 and goes back to sleep till around 10

-She still loves TV. When she is eating she turns her head around so she can watch it

-She eats ALL DAY! Since she throws up so easy I never try to make her finish eating if she doesn't want to so after she is "done"eating she will eat about thirty minutes later. It feels like she is never done eating but it's better then her throwing up all the time

-She is getting better at nursing

-She is really smiley in the mornings and at night but she is getting more smiley throughout the day

-Still sleeping in the bouncer

-When she is tired she loves to have her face tickled, it puts her right to sleep
