Suprise trip to Utah, kinda!

My sweet sister Ashley offered to fly Tessa and I out to see my brother before he left for his mission and after a lot of back and forth I decided that I would go. We first were trying to go out for his farewell but I worked that weekend and there are only two girls that work nights and they both couldn't cover my shift so that meant I couldn't go that weekend. I was so bummed that I had to miss his farewell plus my friends were all going to Park City that weekend for a girls trip so I was really sad I had to miss that as well. I ended up flying in a couple days before he left. Whit and Teig picked us up in Vegas and between missing the freeway exit, and stopping in every town for the kids, it took forever to get home! Ashley and the kids were there when we got home to give Jace his "present". They handed him an empty bag and then Tessa and I walked through the door. He came running towards us and nearly knocked Ash over trying to get to us. It was so fun to see his face light up when he saw us. I'm so thankful for Ash for being so kind and flying us out to see the family. There is nothing better than being able to be with my family.
Saying goodbye to Jace for the next two years (it better be for two years).

My mom took us to Gardner Village after we dropped Jace off at the MTC. The shops weren't my style but it was such a cute little place to take your kids.

We got to stop and see Jules and baby Emery on our way home from Salt Lake. I'm so happy that we were able to see them. We have been friends with Jules for about 8 years now, CRAZY that it's been that long! We sure love her and that sweet baby!

I love my Grandparents so much!
I wish I had her black onsie with us but she still looked so dang cute on Halloween. I only dressed her up to take these pictures and my Dad thought I was nuts. Haha oh the things we do for our kids.

8 Months

Another month has come and gone and I'm still trying to wrap my head around how fast this girl is growing. She has such a cute little personality and it's showing more and more everyday. She is so much fun and we couldn't imagine life without her

Fun things about Tess:
-She talks out of the side of her mouth like "Popeye" and it's so cute
-Anytime we are eating, no matter what it is, she think she need to have some
-She gets into EVERYTHING!!!!
-She loves to eat Baxter's food. As soon as we put it down on the floor she heads right to it and laughs at us when we tell her no.
-She LOVES the bath
-She is starting to be a little Mommy's girl
-She says Dadda all day long
-One of her favorite things to do is crawl through the bottom of all the chairs
-I had to move the pictures under my end table because she constantly was attacking them
-She is getting better at taking her naps
-In the mornings after she wakes up from her nap Baxter gets so excited and runs in her room. When she sees him she gets so excited and starts kicking her arms and feet, it's so cute!
-She loves to attack Bax
-Still in size three diapers
-She is wearing 6-9 months and some 6-12 months
-She still fake coughs and when we do it with her she gets excited and laughs
-She loves to drink out of my water bottle
-She is still sleeping from 7:30-7
-There has been a couple nights where she woke up at 5 but we just ignored her and she went back to sleep. It made both Cory and I feel so bad to let her cry in her room but we didn't want her to think that every time she cried that we would come and get her.
-Loves Factiming with Aunt Wee
-She has two teeth and her top two are starting to come in
-She still isn't walking yet and she doesn't seem interested in it at all, thank goodness!!!

Pumpkin Patch

I don't know how I've never been to a pumpkin patch before but this was my first time and definitely not my last. It was so fun and I'm still amazed at how many pumpkins there were. Tessa was long over due for a nap so it was hard to get good pictures of her, weird, but we were able to get a few of her.

We went with our really good friends and Cor's mom to the pumpkin patch. It's so fun when all of the little kids are together and to watch them play. Lauren is a little more than a year older than Tess and Parker is three weeks younger than Tess. I'm so glad all of these cute little kids are so close in age so Tessa has friends to play with.

Indiana Trip

Cor's brother Greg got a job teaching at Indiana University this fall. Cory's favorite football team, Mizzou, was scheduled to play there so we thought it would be the perfect time to go and see Greg and go to the game. We had so much fun while we were up there with him. Cory and I had our second date night since Tessa was born, we were long overdue for a night out with just the two of us. We are so grateful that Greg watched her for the night so we could go to the football game, which they won!

Greg took us on a tour of IU's campus and it was really neat. The campus is HUGE and had so many cool old buildings and a lot of open green space. I have seen frat houses before but not like they had at IU. Most of the houses looked like mansions. It was so fun to be back in a college town again, I forgot how much I love being in a college atmosphere.

We stayed with Greg for two nights at his brand new apartment. His old apartment in Chicago it was really small, but his new apartment was so nice. I'm actually jealous of how big and open his kitchen and living room are. Cor and Greg went to the local Farmers Market on Saturday while I stayed back with Tess. They said there were a lot of local farmers there and live music. I'm sad I missed it but Tessa is no fun when she misses her nap. She has a hard time sleeping when she is out in public because she loves to look around at everyone. I wonder where she got that from? haha

7 Months

Tessa is now 7 months old and growing like a weed. She is seriously the best baby and is so fun to be around. I feel like this month she has changed so much and became so much more active than she was before. I wish I could keep her this little forever, she is growing way too fast!!!

Fun things about Tess:
-She started crawling one week after she turned six months, way too soon!!!
-She loves to chew on our nose and on our water bottles
-She loves when I sing "twinkle twinkle little star" to her at night
-She loves to give us kisses
-If things are in her way she crawls over them and usually gets high centered haha
-She loves to crawl through the bottom of her jumper and then onto the end table to play with our pictures
-She has been doing a fake cough lately which is so funny
-She is still a great sleeper. We put her down between 7 and 8 and she usually wakes up around 7:30
-She pulls herself up on things and walks along side of the couch
